I don't know anything at all about prion disease, but I wonder if this guy might have an agenda that he is pushing...
I googled his name, these are quotes from the 1st page that hit. Notice the organization that they are from.
I certainly wouldn't put it beyond even vaguely peta types to try to use bogus scares to get people away from beef.
