My right eyelid has developed a really annoying fluttering twitch. It started last week and used to be intermittent, but it's been twitching like mad all day. Feels a bit like a small bird's heartbeat, except in my eyelid.

I get that. I don't like it. I don't know what it is, though.

I think it's basically a nervous tic. It happens to me when I'm stressed.

I get that in my left eyelid in times of high stress. It's stupidly annoying. I had it really badly before my wedding, and when I had my makeup done, the artist's somewhat aggressive blending of shadows in the crease of my eyelid actually made the twitch go away. So gentle massage might help.

I dreamed about holding a bird and feeling its heart beat last night, but I'd forgotten until I read your post. It was a small bird, maybe a starling.

No reference to the scintillating grid implied, but have you ever had a buttcheek twitch? It's the complete opposite. Giant muscle, infrequent BIG twitches. Bizarre.

I can make those muscles twitch, because I am a bellydancer!

I had that for like a month during one of my most stressful periods. It will pass. Annoying as all hell though.
