i am finally beginning to appreciate having long shirts. specifically for this reason. and i'm wearing a prego shirt from target, currently. even though it's pink and stripey. eeek.

Oh, I know. I'm just sayin' culturally. Something happened right after I got old -- something that made it okay to show a little buttcrack. I find the whole thing entirely bizarre.

No, that's one thing I haven't had to do here...yet. I know you're kidding with me, but here's my explanation:

Doing design work obviously doesn't involve potential dirtiness, but the prepress portion of my job (albeit computerized) does, since the plate-making equipment requires weekly cleaning & maintenance. Usually my co-worker Bob does it, but sometimes I have to do it.

Also, I'm the Departmental Computing Consultant for the building, which means people come to me whenever they have issues. Sometimes I have to crawl on the floor or carry dusty computers around and/or open them and work on them. And boy are they dirty.

And on rare occasions, they make me help out in the print shop...but usually that's for things like stuffing envelopes, collating, etc. I get surprisingly dusty doing that too.

So, I can't really wear anything nice here.
