new word for me

"Chichevache"
Definition: \Chiche"vache`\, n. [F. chiche lean + vache cow.] A fabulous cow of enormous size, whose food was patient wives, and which was therefore in very lean condition.
Great word, but it needs an update. Instead of patient wives, what should its food be? I'm thinking modest academic high-flyers, but that's a little clunky.
