A bunch of people have asked for this recipe so here it is:

Pumpkin Cookies with Brown Sugar Glaze

Cream together 1 cup butter and 1 cup sugar. Add 1 cup pumpkin, 1 egg, and 1 tsp vanilla and beat well. Sift together 2 cups flour, 1 tsp each baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp salt; blend into creamed mixture. Drop batter from tsp onto greased cookie sheet (use an air-cushion sheet if possible, they turn out much better). Bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes or until golden (always seems to be around 10 minutes). Cool and ice with...

Brown Sugar Glaze
In a saucepan combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup milk, and 3 Tbs butter. Cook 2 minutes, remove from heat and let cool. Stir in 3/4 tsp vanilla and 1 cup confectioner's sugar. Whisk thoroughly and drizzle over cookies.

hey that sounds wonderful... quick question - what kind of pumpkin do you use? is it something that you need to get fresh, or is there a canned/frozen option?

in case you didn't know this, pumpkins aren't the most common item in grocery stores this time of year. ;)
