I can't remember .. there's a song called "I am a scientist" on the new Danday Warhols cd, which goes, "Yeah! Whoo! I am a scientist! I'm gonna live on science alone!" And at first, mrzero thought it was "I am a scientist! I'm gonna live outside the law!" And that would have been much better.

I'm drinking Ghirardelli cocoa with Chambord and eating a grilled cheese sandwich while I surf for music to add to my Xmas list and gifts to buy for my family. Life would be pretty good if the unmannered ape-children upstairs were not running around and screaming. They seem to be bowling something across the floor in a contest of some kind. I'm afraid we'll have to call the cops later, but luckily we're not ready to go to bed quite yet. Still, you know, I really don't want to feel like I'm in some shitty dorm even if I'm _not_ trying to go to sleep. Oh well - tomorrow _we're_ having bacon, eggs,. coffee, and cornmeal/yogurt pancakes for breakfast, and I bet _they_ are having cold slimy pizza.

I don't really want the entire "Asian Travels" comp, but I do want the Transglobal Underground remix of Fun Da Mental's "Ja Sha Taan," which shnells was playing the other night and which I've heard at some club somewhere. The Itunes store doesn't have it yet, though.

mrzero is digging out his car while I make pancakes and bacon and coffee and clean up the kitchen. I am definitely getting the better end of this deal.

so tired from the crappy sleep last night. I don't think we were asleep until 4, and even then we were too cranky for it to be relaxing.

dumb question

Ok, you know how on various snotty LJ rating communities people are always attacking each other for being too "scene" or criticizing how someone looks because they're "just another boring scene girl"? Or maybe you don't know, if you never browse the rating communities as I do on snowed-in weekends when I should really be working instead. Anyway, my question is ... what scene? They talk like there's just one. Which one? General trendy indie electro-emo kids? As far as I can tell that's what it means, since they seem to be referring to girls with teased spiky black hair, lots of makeup, and little shirts with stripes or 80s themes of some kind. I am clueless.
