Ok, so I don't get my dream job of getting paid for a year or two just to write a book. I'm hoping I can cobble something together so I don't end up leaving academia by necessity instead of by choice. Though I still may very well leave.

I was much crabbier earlier tonight .. we were going to go out and see people but I was far too crabby and worn out. Instead we've stayed in to eat Anna's burritos and drink Wachusetts blueberry beer and watch "Scotland, PA." And I'm in a much better mood. Mrzero's good at that.

I would like one of these cloche-type hats that seem to be everywhere right now, but the one I saw at Urban Outfitters was $30, which seems excessive. Anyone seen a nice cheaper one around? Target probably has them but I never actually make it to Target.

Also, I lent my copy of Veronica to someone and I forget who it was. I think I was planning to lend it to escarey but I can't remember if I already did ... if someone else has it, please let me know so I can pass it on :)
