Mar. 17th, 2003 04:40 pmI knew it was warm, but I had no idea it was actually _too_ warm for a jacket in the sun! I walked to the post office to send off a pile of ebay packages, and on the way back stopped to get an iced coffee. Stepping out of the store, I realized there was no temperature differential between the inside and outside at all .. it's spring!
On the downside, the kids are running around and screaming (a few of them have just discovered the word "turd") in the street, and the attic is already too hot :/
There must be news soon about work next year, because I really want to get the apartment situation together. I hate being disconnected from the outdoors so much ... it makes such a difference when windows can be open, and when you don't have to arm yourself against the elements to leave your house. I wonder if I'd be happier in general living in CA or somewhere like that? It would still have to be green though. The southwest might be depressing in its own way, even if it's warm, though I've never seen it in person. Anyway, I can't wait until it becomes practical to move out of the city into a place with space and trees and privacy, but I guess it isn't that time yet.
Here's hoping that Saddam decides to cut and run in the near future, though I doubt it very much ...
